Ulcerative Colitis

Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that affects the colon and rectum. It causes inflammation and ulcers in the intestinal lining, leading to symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, rectal bleeding, and weight loss. Treatment includes anti-inflammatory drugs, immunosuppressants, and in severe cases, surgery to remove the affected part of the colon.
