Stent Implantation

Stent implantation is a medical procedure in which a small, expandable tube (stent) is inserted into a narrowed or blocked blood vessel to keep it open. Stents are commonly used in coronary arteries to treat heart disease, as well as in other vessels affected by atherosclerosis or other conditions. The procedure is often performed using minimally invasive techniques, such as angioplasty.
