Sebaceous Gland

Sebaceous glands are small oil-producing glands located in the skin. They secrete sebum, an oily substance that helps lubricate and protect the skin and hair. Sebaceous glands are often associated with hair follicles and are most abundant on the face, scalp, and upper body. Overactivity of these glands can lead to acne.
