Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) is a type of skin cancer that arises from squamous cells in the epidermis. It commonly occurs on sun-exposed areas of the skin, such as the face, neck, and hands. SCC can appear as a firm, red nodule or a flat lesion with a scaly surface. While generally treatable, SCC can metastasize if not managed promptly. Treatment options include surgical removal, radiation therapy, and topical treatments.
