Polymyositis

Polymyositis is a rare inflammatory muscle disease that causes muscle weakness, pain, and inflammation, primarily affecting the proximal muscles (those closest to the trunk). It is an autoimmune condition, and treatment typically involves corticosteroids, immunosuppressive drugs, and physical therapy to manage symptoms and improve muscle strength.
