Plateletpheresis

Plateletpheresis is a medical procedure that involves collecting platelets from a donor’s blood using an apheresis machine. The machine separates and collects the platelets while returning the remaining blood components to the donor. Plateletpheresis is used to provide platelet transfusions for patients with conditions such as leukemia, chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia, and other bleeding disorders.
