Peripheral Nervous System (PNS)

The peripheral nervous system (PNS) consists of nerves and ganglia outside the brain and spinal cord. It connects the central nervous system (CNS) to the rest of the body, transmitting sensory and motor signals. The PNS is divided into the somatic nervous system (controlling voluntary movements) and the autonomic nervous system (regulating involuntary functions).
