Pericytes

Pericytes are contractile cells that wrap around the endothelial cells of capillaries and venules. They play a crucial role in regulating blood flow, maintaining blood-brain barrier integrity, and supporting vessel stability and function. Pericytes are also involved in angiogenesis and tissue repair.
