Neuromuscular Transmission

Neuromuscular transmission is the process by which nerve impulses are transmitted from motor neurons to muscle fibers, causing muscle contraction. This involves the release of neurotransmitters (such as acetylcholine) at the neuromuscular junction and their binding to receptors on the muscle cell membrane. Disorders affecting this process can lead to muscle weakness and fatigue.
