Neurogastroenterology

Neurogastroenterology is a subfield of gastroenterology that focuses on the interactions between the nervous system and the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. It studies conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastroparesis, and functional dyspepsia, which involve dysregulation of the brain-gut axis.
