Neoplasm

A neoplasm is an abnormal growth of tissue, also known as a tumor. Neoplasms can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Benign neoplasms do not invade surrounding tissues or spread to other parts of the body, whereas malignant neoplasms can invade and metastasize.
