Mucositis

Mucositis is the inflammation and ulceration of the mucous membranes lining the digestive tract, commonly occurring as a side effect of chemotherapy or radiation therapy. It can cause pain, difficulty eating, and an increased risk of infection. Management includes pain relief, maintaining oral hygiene, and supportive care to promote healing.
