Lumpectomy

A lumpectomy is a surgical procedure that involves removing a breast tumor (lump) and a small margin of surrounding healthy tissue while preserving the rest of the breast. It is a common treatment for early-stage breast cancer and is often followed by radiation therapy to reduce the risk of recurrence.
