Keloid Scar

A keloid scar is a type of raised scar that extends beyond the original wound boundary due to an overproduction of collagen during the healing process. Keloids can be itchy, painful, and cosmetically concerning. Treatment options include corticosteroid injections, laser therapy, and surgical removal, although recurrence is common.
