Hidradenitis suppurativa

Hidradenitis suppurativa is a chronic skin condition characterized by painful, inflamed nodules and abscesses in areas where skin rubs together, such as the armpits, groin, and under the breasts. The exact cause is unknown, but it is associated with inflammation and blockage of hair follicles. Treatment includes antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medications, and sometimes surgery.
