Gastroenteritis

Gastroenteritis, often referred to as stomach flu, is an inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract that involves both the stomach and the intestines. It is usually caused by viral, bacterial, or parasitic infections. Symptoms include diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and fever. Treatment involves hydration, rest, and sometimes antibiotics or antivirals.
