Fibrosis

Fibrosis is the formation of excess fibrous connective tissue in an organ or tissue as a reparative response to injury or damage. It can occur in various parts of the body, including the lungs (pulmonary fibrosis), liver (hepatic fibrosis), and heart (cardiac fibrosis). Fibrosis can impair the function of the affected organs and may lead to chronic diseases.
