Capsule endoscopy is a diagnostic procedure in which a patient swallows a small, pill-sized camera that takes thousands of pictures as it travels through the gastrointestinal tract. This helps doctors diagnose conditions like Crohn’s disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, and tumors.
