Lymphocytes

Lymphocytes are a type of white blood cell crucial for the adaptive immune response. There are three main types: B cells, which produce antibodies; T cells, which destroy infected or cancerous cells and coordinate the immune response; and natural killer (NK) cells, which target and kill virus-infected and tumor cells.
