Metastasis

Metastasis is the process by which cancer cells spread from the primary tumor site to distant organs or tissues, forming secondary tumors. This occurs through the bloodstream or lymphatic system. Metastatic cancer is more challenging to treat and often requires systemic therapies such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or targeted therapy.
