National Institute of Health (NIH)

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and is the nation’s medical research agency. NIH conducts and supports biomedical and behavioral research to advance knowledge and improve public health. It encompasses 27 institutes and centers, each focusing on specific areas of research.
