Precision Oncology

Precision oncology is a subset of precision medicine focused on tailoring cancer treatment to the genetic profile of an individual’s tumor. By identifying specific genetic mutations and alterations in cancer cells, precision oncology allows for targeted therapies that are more effective and less toxic than traditional treatments. Ongoing research and clinical trials are continually expanding the potential of precision oncology to improve cancer outcomes.
